When Dualit designed their Espressivo coffee machine they started from the best espresso with the best "crema" and worked backwards.
PRETTY OBVIOUS, BUT NOT MANY MANUFACTURERS DO THAT!
To produce the best espresso they have probably the highest bar pressure at the brew head of any machine. They also have a very tight "weave" in their sieves / baskets.
Very occasionally,this can produce problems, if the coffee is over tamped then the basket may sometimes need the pinhole unblocking by the pin, which is provided.
OUR TIPS
Keep the "shower head" (up where the handle meets the machine ) clean.Use a soft brush to remove any old coffee grounds.
Keep holes in filter basket free of old coffee grounds using the "pin" provided.
Keep the steam wand clear of old milk by flushing through with hot water / steam and clearing any hard bits of old milk with "pin " provided.
Descale regularly.
